Ghana Book Trust coordinates the Burt Award for for excellence in Africa Young Adult Fiction in Ghana Ghana starting in 2009. The aim of the Burt Award is to assist in producing high quality fiction for youth that helps support the transition from local language instruction in primary school to English instruction in secondary school. 1.1 Procurement
This involves the procurement of relevant reading materials to support the Reading Ghana Program. The procurement ratio will be 20% North American and 80% locally published books. GBT has developed a criterion for the procurement of the books.
